It's the day thousands of gamers have been waiting for. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is out and expected to break all sorts of records. The game's already had a film style premiere in London's Leicester Square and thousands queued to grab the first copies to go on sale at shops which opened up at midnight. It's believed the first-person shooter could sell as many as five million units on its first day. Amazon says its pre-orders have been higher than for any previous video game. In the UK the console versions are selling for about £54 while the PC version is priced at about £35. Supermarkets are getting in on the action too, Sainsbury's and Tesco are selling it for about £26, the price is also being cut online. |
