When will I get my tickets?

All tickets for Radio 1’s Big Weekend events will be digital tickets.

You will be able to access your digital tickets by logging into your Ticketmaster account. Tickets will be released into your Ticketmaster App from Friday 3rd May. Your phone is your ticket. Locate your tickets in your Ticketmaster account in the app. Tickets will not be emailed to you or available for print.

What happens if I don’t receive my digital tickets?

Will there be merchandise available to purchase for this event?

Official Radio 1 Big Weekend t-shirts, hoodies and programmes are available to pre-order  in advance of the event when purchasing your Big Weekend ticket.

There will be a merchandise stall onsite at the event with a full range of stock available to purchase.

You can now also purchase official Radio 1 Big Weekend merchandise 

When does the first act start?

We will have music starting at 4pm on Friday and 1pm on Saturday and Sunday so make sure you leave enough time to go through ticket checks and security.

Opening Times:

Friday 24th May: Gates open at 2pm with a headline opener act starting at 4pm.

Saturday 25th May: Gates open at 10:30am with the Main Stage opener act starting at 1pm.

Sunday 26th May: Gates open at 10:30am with the Main stage opener act starting at 1pm.

When is last entry?

On Friday 24th May last entry is 22:00, the event ends at 23:00.

On Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th May last entry is 21:00, the event ends at 22:00.

Can I bring a camera?

Yes, but please be aware professional photography equipment such as zoom lenses are not allowed in the venue. Please also note selfie sticks will not be permitted at Radio 1’s Big Weekend.  A list of prohibited items can be found in the What to Bring section.

How can I pay for food/drinks on site?

The event will operate as a contactless site, you can pay with debit card & Apple / Google pay.

Where can I charge my phone?

We will have a charge candy station on site for you to charge your phone in case your battery dies – you will have to pay for this service.

How can I listen / watch Radio 1’s Big Weekend if I don’t get tickets?

There will be non-stop Big Weekend coverage across the weekend on ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Radio 1³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Sounds and ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ iPlayer. Full performances and highlights will be available to watch/listen live and in full on ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ iPlayer, ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Sounds and at bbc.co.uk/bigweekend for 30 days. You can also find Highlights on the .

What arrangements do you have for Lost Property?

We will have a Lost Property point within the on site Welfare Tent, this will be open throughout the event.

Bringing Children / Babies To The Event

Event security at Radio 1’s Big Weekend will be briefed to permit those with babies / small children to bring larger bags into the arena – all bags will still be subject to a full search.

Buggies will also be permitted entry on to site and will be subject to searching. Please speak to the Security Supervisor at the main entrance if you have any questions.

There will be a welfare tent within the arena where baby changing facilities will be available.

Hand washing

Hand washing facilities will be available at the toilets located within the arena. We encourage everyone to use these throughout the day.

We’ll send you all the information you need to know about your visit in advance as well as updating the information here on our website.  

If there’s anything you need while you’re at the event our staff will be on hand to help you.

Be kind

Please act responsibly, and be considerate to other visitors, giving them time and space where possible to move around the arena, and understand they may have different requirements to yours.

Can I volunteer / do work experience at Radio 1’s Big Weekend?

You can get in on the action by volunteering for a number of roles over the weekend. Luton Borough Council’s volunteering programme kicks off in March. If you are interested please fill out the form to register your interest

Can my band play at Radio 1’s Big Weekend?

The line up for Radio 1 Big Weekend is curated by the Network’s Music Programming Team and will feature Artists from the Radio 1 playlist.

If you are a UK Artist wanting to play a ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Festival stage you can send your music to the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Music Introducing uploader. You can upload tracks here and you may be considered for other events!

Any artist under the age of 16 would need a family member, guardian or carer to upload on their behalf. Please see the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy before signing up.
