Vernon Kay's Radio 2 mid-morning adventure begins
15 May 2023 Vernon Kay has taken over the prestigious mid-morning slot on Radio 2 with the words: "The adventure, let it begin." Broadcasting on weekdays from 9.30am to midday, the Vernon kicked off his tenure by playing U2鈥檚 Beautiful Day.
The show will take in the daily music quiz Ten To The Top at 10.30am and Tracks Of My Years at 11.40am and Vernon also revealed a brand new feature on air. Vernon鈥檚 Vaults will see the host digging into the 成人论坛 archive after 11am. -
2 May 2023 成人论坛 Audio took home three Gold awards at the Radio Academy鈥檚 . Producer Sue Mitchell鈥檚 The Smugglers鈥� Trail for Radio 4 was named Best News Coverage, the 1Xtra Breakfast with Nadia Jae team took home the prize for Best Music Breakfast Show, and Dear Harry Kane directed by Sally Avens was named Best Drama.
成人论坛 Audio also won a Silver award in the Specialist Music category for Radio 3鈥檚 Night Tracks and a Bronze for the Radio 1 Breakfast with Greg James. -
19 April 2023 成人论坛 Audio鈥檚 climate activist podcast Burn Wild took the New York Festivals Radio Awards by storm, scooping seven awards including the Grand Prize as Best Non-Fiction Series.
The 成人论坛 Radio 5 Live commission, which was produced by Georgia Catt (The Missing Cryptoqueen, Two Minutes Past Nine) also garnered five Gold Awards (Non-Fiction Series, Serialised Podcast, Sound, Climate Change and Sustainability, Environment and Ecology) and a Bronze (Narrative/Documentary Podcast). -
Add to Playlist wins Prix Europa AND Prix Italia
28 October 2022 成人论坛 Audio鈥檚 Add to Playlist was awarded the prestigious Prix Europa prize for Best European Radio Music Programme of the Year 2022. This follows the programme鈥檚 victory in the Radio Music category at the Prix Italia earlier this month.
Presented by Jeffrey Boakye and Cerys Matthews and produced by Jerome Weatherald, the show was described by Prix Italia jurors as: 鈥淎 wonderful combination of an educational approach and entertainment.鈥�
It broadcasts on Fridays at 7.15pm on 成人论坛 Radio 4 and is available as a podcast. -
8 December 2021 成人论坛 Radio 4's Emma Barnett took the title of Interviewer of the Year at the Press Gazette's annual celebration of the best of UK journalism.
In her first year at the helm of Woman's Hour, Barnett drew praise for her conversations with Lady Lavinia Nourse and with then Health Minister Nadine Dorries, as well as for her discussion with Tracey Emin about nightclubs in a post-Covid world. -
29 October 2021 成人论坛 Audio claimed three awards at the 9th annual Asian Media Awards at the Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester.
There were victories for Bobby Friction who won Best Radio Show, Noreen Khan who won the award for Best Presenter and producer Rayhan Rahman and presenters Poppy Jay and Rubina Pabani who took home the prize for Best Podcast with Brown Girls Do It Too. -
14 September 2021 成人论坛 Audio鈥檚 Radio 2 production teams were rewarded when the station was named Station of the Year at the 2021 Music Week Awards.
Congratulations are also due to award鈥檚 host Clara Amfo and her 成人论坛 Audio production team who secured the Radio Show award for the second year in a row. -
26 May 2021 成人论坛 Audio staff and presenters took home nine at the 2021 award ceremony. The impressive haul included six golds, a silver and two bronzes.
Winners of the coveted gold award were Poppy Begum (Best New Presenter), The YUNGBLUD Podcast (Best New Show), Radio 1 Breakfast with Greg James (Best Music Breakfast Show), Scott Mills (Best Music Entertainment Show), Eight Point Nine Nine (Best Fictional Storytelling) and Black Power Playlist (The Impact Award). -

Songs To Live By launches new partnership with Warner Music
19 March 2021 Radio 1鈥檚 Vick Hope presents a new podcast from 成人论坛 Audio celebrating Black voices and experience. Each episode will see two guest from different generations share the music that has defined them.
It is the first podcast in a new co-production collaboration between the 成人论坛 and Warner Music Group . Working together, 成人论坛 and WMG will create a number of ambitious new podcasts with different formats that have great storytelling and music at their centre. -
12 November 2020 Greg James鈥� Up Yours Corona, developed and delivered by 成人论坛 Audio, was named Best Virtual Event at the international Coronavirus Radio Industry Awards.
The awards, honouring innovation in audio during the global pandemic and voted for by professionals in the radio and audio industry worldwide, also named Radio 1鈥檚 Times Like These the Best Mega Promotion. -
6 Music Artist in Residence and Cillian Murphy鈥檚 Limited Edition new from 成人论坛 Audio
11 November 2020 A new commission for 成人论坛 Audio produced by Jax Coombes, 6 Music Artist in Residence has launched with a run of six shows presented by Loyle Carner. Arlo Parks and Phoebe Bridgers are among the artists lined up for future hosting slots on the show that journeys into the musical soul of an artist.
This follows Cillian Murphy鈥檚 recent return to 6 Music with a new 成人论坛 Audio show of his own. Cillian Murphy's Limited Edition sees the actor put together nocturnal playlists from all corners of his record collection. -
成人论坛 Radio 1 announces new presenters and schedule changes
6 November 2020 Radio 1 Breakfast with Greg James will be broadcast five days a week from January 2021, while 成人论坛 Audio are bringing with four new presenters to the Radio 1 roster.
New show Early Breakfast on Fridays will rotate presenters Joel Mitchell, Mollie Finn and Fee Mak, while Sian Eleri becomes the new host of Radio 1鈥檚 Chillest Show. -
Tim Pemberton named 成人论坛 Audio Head of Religion & Ethics
1 November 2020 Tim Pemberton has taken up the role of Head of 成人论坛 Religion & Ethics at 成人论坛 Audio. Tim comes fresh from running a number of stations in 成人论坛 England as Managing Editor and previously worked as a Senior Producer in the department in the late 1990s.

21 September 2020 成人论坛 Radio 1鈥檚 Clara Amfo programme won the coveted Radio Show of the year at the 2020 Music Week Awards.
It鈥檚 been a big few weeks for the mid-morning show, which has been celebrating Live Lounge Month and the return of regular performances after they were curtailed by the coronavirus pandemic.
The music industry trade paper also recognised the work done by our teams in 成人论坛 Radio 6 Music , which was named Radio Station of the year at the virtual ceremony. -
Brown Girls Do It Too wins Podcast of the Year
11 July 2020 成人论坛 Audio podcast Brown Girls Do It Too was named Podcast Of The Year at the 2020 British Podcast Awards. The podcast, which is commissioned by the 成人论坛 Asian Network, produced in Birmingham by Rayhan Rahman and edited by Deena Narshi Chohan, also took the Gold award for Best Sex & Relationships Podcast as four 成人论坛 Audio titles took home prizes at the online ceremony.
Radio 3鈥檚 Classical Fix took the Silver award in the Arts & Culture category while Radio Drama London took home two awards: Fake Heiress for Radio 4 earning the Silver Creativity Award, and World Service podcast Fall of the Shah also winning Silver, for Best Fiction. -

9 July 2020 Lockdown breakout star Joe Wicks 鈥� aka The Body Coach 鈥� talks to celebrities including Gordon Ramsey, Fearne Cotton and Louis Theroux for a new 成人论坛 Audio podcast series for 成人论坛 Radio 4 produced by Emily Knight and Clare Salisbury in Bristol.

成人论坛 Audio launches Creative Development Unit
26 June 2020 成人论坛 Audio has launched a new unit dedicated to the development of major projects. The Creative Development Unit (CDU) is led by Clare McGinn, who previously ran 成人论坛 Audio鈥檚 production department in Bristol. It will have a focus on new podcasts and forging creative partnerships.
The CDU builds on the success of recent 成人论坛 Audio podcasts including James Acaster鈥檚 Perfect Sounds and The Missing Cryptoqueen for 成人论坛 Sounds, Forest 404 and Evil Genius for Radio 4, 13 Minutes To The Moon and Fall Of The Shah for the World Service, and the 成人论坛 Earth podcasts for 成人论坛 Studios.
