PresentersYou are in: Berkshire > Local radio > Presenters > Tim Dellor Tim DellorJoin Tim Dellor every Friday night for the Sportsweek plus full, live commentary from every Reading game home and away in League or Cup. Tim bleeds Blue and White! Tim Dellor is our Sports Editor and sometimes runs the eleven or so miles to work from Nettlebed to Caversham, but we try not to hold that against him. He's also a dab hand at cricket and, of course, an expert on Reading FC - you'll hear his voice on air every time Reading play, plus at a variety of sporting events across Berkshire. What makes you laugh?"People who take themselves too seriously, Only Fools and Horses, and my friends in the pub. Important to note what doesn't make me laugh is Little Britain. Offensive rubbish." What’s your most embarrassing moment on air?"There's a very long list of dubious moments. Thanking Dave Kitson for not "passing wind" at the end of one interview. Saying I'd like to lick a football referee. My first glamorous gig was auctioning a sack of horse manure on Reading's Broad Street, live on the Breakfast programme. Never again." Where is your favourite place in Berkshire?"Elstree School, Bradfield College, The Bull in Stamford Dingley, The Berkshire Downs, The Madejski Stadium, Falkland Cricket Club, the home where I was brought up in Woolhampton." What are your most memorable jobs before working for ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Radio Berkshire?"Teaching as a gap year student was invaluable. I learnt more in that year than in the preceding thirteen on the other side of the desk. I still do a lot of cricket coaching with ECB, ICC and Berkshire County Cricket Club. Tim helps a young commentator at the Newbury Show "My first job was as a fruit picker near Pangbourne. You were paid by the punnet, and if you were late you were allocated a morning on gooseberries." What’s your favourite piece of music?"Anyone who claims they have one favourite piece of music is lying. Depends where I am, what I am doing and what mood I am in. Anything by Abba is a winner though." email tim.dellor@bbc.co.uklast updated: 10/02/2009 at 13:16 Have Your Say
