Happy birthday to Monkey Suit Music, the live bands night that celebrates two years on the planet on Saturday 3 May 2008.

Monkey Suit organ-grinder Dave Maul says: "Two years ago we took our first, tender steps in to the world of music promotion, and to celebrate we're hosting a special one-off 2nd Birthday bash."

He adds: "We've managed to secure some rather fine bands to help get our free entry party in full swing."

Former tour buddies of Foals and Metronomy, Post War Years produce up-tempo, danceable tunes with three-part vocals.

They've been hailed as one of the most exciting bands around with high profile performances at the Camden Crawl Festival, Club NME and The Great Escape Festival.

You can expect to hear more from these guys with their debut single The Black Morning already being played by Radio 1 and set for release on Monday 12 May.

Newbury's rising alt-indie band Fox Cubs haven't played in Reading for a while, so it's a welcome return for the band who've performed a live session for Radio 1's Steve Lamacq, gained attention from the music press and played at the Camden Crawl Festival.

Monkey Suit's friends and former 成人论坛 Berkshire demo panel winners are opening the the birthday bash. In fact it's a double celebration with Ian the guitarist celebrating his birthday as well.

If you're unfamiliar with their sound, they fuse post- rock, pop and Icelandic influences in to music which engages your mind.

DJs

听DJ mark is egg, Plundercats Djs and a little help from Monkey Suit's friends DJ collective will spin the proverbial wheels of steel for your aural delectation.
