The Eagle Works is a dilapidated former mattress factory in Alexander Street, Wolverhampton.听It鈥檚 been a base and haven for the Black Country鈥檚 modern artists for 22 years and is now more visible than ever. The recent demolition of buildings on the Raglan Street site in front of听Eagle Works now allows a new view of the well known former factory.听 The artists that belong to the Eagle Works Artists' Group, in Alexander Street, have responded to the change in their surroundings with a new show 鈥 鈥楨xposed鈥.

Their exhibition is a colourful mix of abstract conceptual, figurative paintings and sculpture. The contributing artists are: Jain McKay, Knighton Hosking, Jane O'Reilly, Gail Britt, Rosemary Terry, Derek Jones, Julie McNally-Hayes, Simon Francis, Sylbert Bolton, John Hampton, James Millichamp, Simon Harris and Kyla Dante. The show is curated by Kate Pryor, exhibitions curator at Wolverhampton Art Gallery.

In her introduction to the show, Kate wrote:听 鈥淓xposed brings together highlights from the diverse and multi-disciplinary work produced by artists working in the iconic Eagleworks building in Wolverhampton. 鈥淎s one of the longest running studio groups in the region Eagleworks has stayed true to its roots and many of the members have stood tall in the face of various threats of demolition and take over鈥
