Will first appeared on 成人论坛 WM Introducing in April 2008 as part of Wolverhampton/Hednesford power-pop band Out of the Ashes.

Unfortunately, the young band disbanded several months later as Will explained upon his return to the programme.

"It just petered out to be honest with you," he said. "It was going strong but then we were all coming up to exams so we put it on the back burner for a bit and just never picked it up."

Now at sixth form college, Will Dewsbury is now pursing a solo career as a singer-songwriter, a significantly different experience to performing with a full band:

"It's a lot different. You have a lot more independence. Decisions wise, you can do what you like, when you like.

"The difference mainly is that if you're in a pub or a club and people aren't listening - if you've got an electric guitar there's a volume control (laughs). Not so much when you're a singer songwriter! It's a lot easier when it's just you too as you don't have to organise a date or a place to practice. You just pick up a guitar."

Will plans to enrol at Leeds University in September 2009 at the College of Music whilst continuing to hone his singer-songwriter skills. He's just completed his debut EP 'Our Lives' which will be available soon through his website
