This Time is an evening weekday magazine show. The show covers a mix of consumer affairs, current affairs, viewer interaction, highbrow interview and lightweight froth.

Due to the illness of current presenter, John Baskell, radio DJ Alan Partridge will be stepping into his shoes while he recovers. Alan is joined by his radio sidekick, Simon Denton and regular This Time host, Jennie Gresham.

Who are the presenters?

Jennie Gresham

Jennie has presented This Time alongside John Baskell since 2012. The two of them have a strong friendship and have been a firm favourite of ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ audiences. Viewers will no doubt look forward to seeing the chemistry between Jennie and Alan as he steps in as temporary co-presenter.

Alan Partridge

Alan shot to fame in the mid-90s with his talkshow Knowing Me, Knowing You With Alan Partridge. The show was unfortunately cancelled after just one series when a guest was fatally shot live on air.

He then moved into weekday local radio, where he worked for over two decades. Alan has also dipped his toe into the world of publishing with his autobiography I, Partridge: We Need To Talk About Alan in 2012 and the subsequent follow-up travel memoir, Nomad in 2017.

Simon Denton

Simon has worked with Alan for the past few years on Alan's Mid Morning Matters radio show. He was not Alan's co-presenter, according to his contract, his role was one of 'total subordination'. Simon will be manning the digi-wall, taking a sideways look at the news.

John Baskell

Much-loved presenter John has been part of the This Time family since it's inception in 2012. Before joining This Time, John presented his own show, Get Away, all the way back in 1985. He then moved on to much-loved ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ shows including Scotland's Strongest Man and Britain's Holiest Hymn. Get well soon John!
