To celebrate the 50th birthday of the king of Pop, The Icon Micheal Jackson I thought I'd post the video of what in my opinon is his greatest ever on screen moment. Enjoy....
This is the movie that babysat and kept me busy when I was a youngster while Mum was cooking dinner or on the phone or I was just getting on her nerves. I cant lie I have to watch "The Wiz" at least once a month or I cant function properly..
WHAT A CLASSIC MOVIE!!
Big shouts and props to Nipsey Russel and Diana Ross' Barber.
Fresh from massive performances at the Notting hill carnival and the 1xtra Carnival after party US R&B sensation passed through the 1xtra studio to talk to us about being tired, being a carnival virgin and our favourite subject GIRLS.
Mr Lova lova aka Shaggy passed through the studio to hangout with your boys Ace & Vis. We spoke to him about being the 2nd biggest Caribbean artists EVER!! and what would a interview with a Jamaican be at the moment without a mention or 2 of Usain Bolt and Jamaican sprinting. Take a listen....
Only a week after the 1st track off Jay-z's forth coming album "Blueprint 3" has been leaked to the world, a video for "Jockin Jay-Z" has shown up. There are rumours Kermit was suppose to be in it but couldnt find time in his busy schedule. There was also a scene with the cast of Fraggle Rock but that was cut due to there recent beef with the gang down on Sesame Street. Anywhoo enjoy..
Easy family, hope you're good and well. Let me start off by saying I had a completely mental weekend. Too much to tell you about it all right now, but I just have to say the best part of it, easily, was watching a close friend, Ms Estelle perform at this years V festival, held at Weston park in Shropshire. Following in Glastonbury's footsteps, it seems like all the rock festivals are trying their luck with Urban artists, but after all the dramas that came with Jay-z at Glastonbury, and Lethal Bizzle at the NME festival, I wasn't sure how the crowd would take to Estelle's unique style. But needless to say, Estelle and her band rocked the stage with her stellar vocals, fly outfit and high energy, she definitely had the crowd eating out of her hand. I was impressed. Got me thinking that maybe next year Ace & Vis might headline at one of the major festivals...be warned though, better sign up for your tickets early cos no doubt they'll be like gold-dust!!!
Yesterday we had one of the youngest most talented grime Mc`s on the show. He goes by the name of double S and he is also the guy responsible for the hit grime track which is on heavy rotation here at 1xtra. Along side double S was McVertex from the Marvel crew, they dropped some heavy bars,
Easy peeps. This weekend I found myself back in Battersea south London, on what I must say was a very rainy and windy day. Sef from So Solid was shooting a video for the re-release of his single "Out the Ghetto" I had to get down there to show my support and catch up with old friends Romeo, Shabz and Swiss.
We had DJ khaled and E-Class (the CEO of Poe Boy Entertainment) on the show recently. DJ Khaled was super hyped about his joint venture with Def Jam and future projects. He even says "HE OUT DONE P DIDDY" in this conversation.
