Stormy Weather
If you follow the backstage mailing list, you might have noticed that some feeds of ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ weather forecasts were made public there yesterday (Thursday) by a list member.
I'm really sorry to say that, unfortunately, these weather feeds are not available under the backstage terms of use, nor under the usual ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ RSS license.
We'd really appreciate it if you, our respected developer community, could resist temptation and avoid using the feeds.
Kass, the senior developer in the Weather Centre, is working on getting a free RSS feed of two day forecasts plus observations out and available under the backstage terms, but she has to fit this in alongside her regular job.
I'll try and keep you up to date on the progress of both the free feeds and the full feeds through the mailing list. If you're interested in a longer explanation of why these feeds aren't available (short version: it's not the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳'s data to give away) you might want to refer to the .
