That's right people - the long awaited 1Xtra Top 10 podcasts hosted by yours truly are here! It all kicked off last night with the R&B Top 10, you can subscribe, download and play it when you want on your mp3 player or PC! It costs a mere £0 to download and an equally mere £0 to subscribe (yes, they're FREE!).
This week - hear Mary J Blige, Chris Brown and J Holiday battle it out for R&B Top 10 supremacy!!
Click the picture to subscribe and download. Tomorrow it's all about the UKG.
Let me know what you think of the podcasts - hot or what?
While you wait for the American Gangster review (film and album), I thought I'd take a moment to shout out one of the (as yet) stars of the movie. And he's from the UK (well, via Nigeria!).
Chiwetel Ejiofor is one of the best black actors to have come from these shores and while the name may not be familiar right away, if you've seen Amistad, Children of Men, Spike Lee's Inside Man or even Kinky Boots you'll know him. Even if still not yet, you will do. He plays Denzel's right hand man in American Gangster and The Daily Telegraph newspaper recently did a really good interview.
I've been really busy with the show this week so haven't had time to write that "American Gangster" review...SO... I'm off to see the movie on Monday - I'll be hitting you up with a review of not only the Jay-Z album inspired by the film but I'll also get my Jonathan Ross on and give you a review of the Denzel & Russell flick!
To hold you off til then - here's the video for Jigga's Roc Boys off the album. By far the best video I've seen from Jay since 99 Problems:
...is coming later today! Until then, check this out - Jay on David Letterman. A little interview and a live performance of "Roc Boys".
Jay+Live band= Quality. Suprised this hasn't been the standard procedure since the MTV unplugged. Anyway, I want to make sure the review is as in depth as the 50 and Kanye ones I did before so it soon come! In the meanwhile, if you've heard the album, let me know what YOU think!

The video for Estelle's future smash "Wait A Minute (Just A Touch)" has hit the internet and it's looking slick:
Hard to believe that just 4 years ago I was giving Estelle a lift to the train station after she came to Notts to record...!! So happy to see one of our own getting this kind of treatment from a major label. What do you think - hit?

Pay heed - those artists out there that think being signed to a major label is the be all and end all...
Shouts to - I've been trying to tell people for a long time that being signed to a major label isn't necessarily the best route for you. Independently, that $10 is yours after costs...
