You're just showing off now, Eddie. It wasn't that long ago that you didn't know one end of a USB key from another. Very atmospheric piccy, though. Is that a reflected first class lamp thingy in the window?

It has the feel of speed, and the track looks in good condition :-)

Well done for succeeding in another blog first !

Eddie, have you ever tried panning (or its equivalent when you are moving)?

I take pictures like that, generally accompanied by 'honestly I saw a heron/kestrel/deer' when looking through them!

All I can remember about Grantham station is that there were no bins. Not that I'd judge any town by that of course.

Hmmm. I'd stick to the talking, if I were you.

Witchi, no stations have bins any more.

I think they worry about bombs, more than they worry about litter.

They do however have a person with a brush to keep the place neat, which in my book is an improvement.

Grantham station is pretty dull, but then I grew in a village with a beautiful Victorian wrought-iron station, half-timbered and with lots of lovely hanging baskets in the summer.

Look at you, Eddie, bluetoothing (should that be blueteething?) and photoshopping.

Actually, that reminds me of another Norseman, Harald Bluetooth. Hm.

(we were talking about Vikings a few days ago)

Eddie, what's odd about your photoshopping impressionist efforts, is that you can just make out your outline in the reflection of the glass, perhaps wearing a dark/black top and looking into a little machine that you are holding up (Is that what a bluetooth is?). And from the light behind you and the chair that you are sitting in (forward-facing), I also think you are in First-Class.

Excellent presenting on Any Questions tonight by the way. That programme always restores my faith in society.

You are sooooo observant! just had another look and I think I see what you see,
It's a bit like looking at those anti- natal CT scan pictures in the 80s- peering desperately into the 'fog' !

Molly (10), In the 80s? Have they changed since then? I still can't make them out! I find people send them via email these days so my standard response is "ooo, you must be so excited", which is a polite cover-all and, although not gushing, pleasant in a bland kind of way.

I think that the sprogs can be seen more distinctly in their first pic these days- although like you, I tend to go with the excited parents-to -be. My scan actually wworried me- thought she was too little, feet too big, that ear looks odd, etc etc

Coincidentally am so excited- just heard that she has ,today ,been accepted for a post-grad degree course in Broadcast Journalism in London. I'm so excitedfor her!
    Eddie watch out!

I think I see the man opposite Eddie though - reading the paper with a bald head.

Molly (12), I'm presuming that was just the scan and all her bits are harmoniously sized? Either way -- excellent news! Well done to her. If she gets to play with Eric I wll seethe of course :-)

Jonnie (13), I can't make that out. Funny way of reading the paper though! :-)

Belinda, Molly, Jonnie, it's a spooky image isn't it? It actually reminds me of one of those 3D pictures that you have to stare at mindlessly to see the image. On my computer screen I can only see it form certain angles.

Haven't heard AQ yet (or much else this week!) Hope to listen at lunchtime. I do hope Eddie wasn't in any Indian retsurants after the show last night.
