A Big Fine. What happened?
Not being particularly tuned in to the world of Premiership football, it appears as though the club "acted improperly" over the transfer of two players, and apparently withheld "vital documentation" from the Premier League.
They haven't been deducted any points, although judging by the current table to the right of the article, they're already in severe danger of dropping down to the Championship anyway.
-oOo-
Meanwhile, looking at the Championship table, it looks as though the Midlands clubs are getting ready for another bout of league table ping-pong (one season they're in the Premiership, the next they drop down to the Championship, the next they're promoted back to the Premiership etc.)
Was that your received pronunciation giving you away Eric?
It's the way you tell em Ed
Eddie - a busy afternoon? My arse!
Nowt to do with Received Pronunciation, though, is it?
But how his pronouncement was received...
Ha, ha, Eric!
Save Corrie C!
Love your quick comeback, Ed - er, I mean Carolyn Quinn.
That's why we like you. You're not infallible (!!!) but you've got a fabbily quick wit
Speaking of which, i hear Milton Jones is back on ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Radio 4 this week - a great wordsmith.
n-n
Stan,
