We are thinking of
our colleague Alan Johnston, about whom there are worrying reports. I hope they're not accurate and that he returns safely.

I heard them.
Please God. whichever you have, he is alive and well.
May Alan be alive and well.
I pray too that these rumours of reports are soon contradicted by the Palestinian Authority.

My thoughts are with Alan, his family, friends and colleagues
It's impossible for the majority of us to imagine what stress Alan, his family and friends must be going through at this time.
I just hope that in some way all positive thoughts may help.
Yes, I just heard the news on TV. My thoughts are with him and his loved ones. There is still hope.
Prayers, fingers crossed, touching wood ... anything to bring him home safely.

As with all my fellow froggers above, my thoughts and prayers are with Alan, his family and his friends. I hope that all the rumours are just that; rumours; and that he'll be released and home soon

I heard it on the radio earlier, really really hope this is just a terrible rumour. All possible positive thoughts to him & his family & friends for a safe and speedy return. Cannot imagibe how hard this must be for them GMx
My friends here remind me to think of his family and friends, too.
Dreadful, dreadful time for the Johnston family.
One can't possibly imagine what they are going through.
Please let him come back safely.

I echo what everyone has said above; the only hope is that this is unsubstantiated and seems to be from an unknown group. Clutching at straws perhaps but I truly hope he is alive, well and returned soon.
Thoughts to his friends, family and colleagues.
This is a sombre time for all connected to Alan. Along with his family, the world of the media (especially those of you at the Beeb) and the many friends in Palestine who have spoken of him in such glowing and even loving terms. Hoping and praying can be the only course at the moment until clearer news emerges.
Please pass on our thoughts to your colleagues in ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ News, Eddie, especially those who are on dangerous assignments.
Just adding my voice to the many.
I hadn't heard any news yesterday till I got home & saw this. I'm very sorry to hear it, but still hoping it may turn out not to be true. My thoughts are with his family & friends.
There seems to be so much horrible news around at the moment; I pray that we shall hear some good soon in the form of Alan being returned to his family safe and well.

I echo the sentiment already put so well. Just hoping the announcement is completely wrong.
I hope Alan Johnston returns safe and well to his family and friends.
The same as everyone above, my thoughts go out to Alan, his friends and family and fervently hope that it is just a rumour and that he will be coming home safer soon.

I echo the sentiments above; thinking of Alan and his family.
I really hope that this is just a rumour. My thoughts, like everyone here, are with Alan's family, friends and colleagues.
I see this was one of my posts that didn't appear, earlier this week. Nonethless, I'm still thinking of Alan, his family and colleagues and friends.
