The smug bastard
you see here is our editor, Peter "Reggie" Rippon collecting and clutching our Gold Sony Award.
In fact, although we never tell him this, these awards have got rather a lot to do with him. Luckily he has no idea we have a Blog.

Interesting though these pics are, Eddie, they don't explain your absence .......
Don't tell me they left you slaving away in the office?
Big Sis, you don't think he can write, present, perform, cook, clean, answer telephones, run the blog and attend award ceremonies, do you? The man's got to sleep some time.
Hope there was champagne in the 10.30 (or whatever it is) this morning.
Is the smug bastard sat next to Shilpa Shetty?
Hey, how come Eddie gets to swear in the title, byt we have to put *&^%in g *'s in swearwords? After all, we're a part of what makes this blog, according to last night's judges at least!!!
John H: I rather imagined him sitting in a deserted office 'on phone duty'.
Perhaps it's just a memory from my own past ;o)
Hey you've got something to prop the door open with now.
Of course not in any way wishing to under play the MairMeister's magnificent award winning contribution to this prize winning programme on the highly decorated and celebrated ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Radio Four, but be careful, what would happen to the the station if the ubiquitous Carolyn, now part of an award winning community and maybe with grand ideas in her head about.. let us say TV, decided to move on!! Imagine the chaos! Beware awards go to your head!!
Long live PM.. long live Auntie.. Vive le Sequin.. Vive le Mair!
I'm SO excited being an award winning 'interactive' listener.. I just thought I would.. interact!
OK tell me to go away..
And this has just been received from my friend Peter at ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳7 :-
Was at the Sony Awards last night - alas ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ 7 didn't win in our comedy category - but PM won best interactive as I'm sure you'll know by now. Eddie wasn't there but his producer thanked all the "froggers" ( is that right ? ) so pat on the back love. So I'm feeling a bit delicate this morning
Can't see a thing.. sell the award and buy a decent camera.
How much do you think it's worth?
Is that his wife, or just an admirer ??
Luckily those awards look very easy to convert into 'Chocolate Oscar-a-likes' Just take some Fruit and Nut bars [!] and wrap the Golden [or Silver !] paper round the individual squares.
No jokes, please, that the chocolate must be 'dark and thick', we didn't win an award by being that sort of 'cheap and nasty' blog, now did we ?
I've just spotted HelenSparkles on Mr. Evans' blog. I notice she's not visited us recently - Are we getting defectors already?
BTW, I don't make a habit of looking in on Chris, oh no.
Thank you, thank you! I am so proud to be receiving this award ....
What do you mean: shut up and get on with your work....
Seriously, PM has always been brilliant even before this stupendous frog, and now it is the well-deserved winner. AND a silver award too (that should have been gold too - a minor quibble!)
Thanks and congrats to Eddie, P Rippon (whoever he be!) and everyone - you are all wonderful.
Ahhhh........
Bedd Gelert:
You may be unaware that, here on the Blog, we have a history with the magical Walnut Whip, an altogether more structured piece of chocolate.
For my own part, I'd go along with a bar of chocolate and forgo the walnut.
Isn't the lady sitting next to Peter, Manveen?
Now, now Eddie, that's not very nice language to be using - you are supposed to be setting us a good example when you "perform" :o)
Right, let's test the mods. I will repeat Eric's headline in my next post...

PS who is this Reggae Rippon? Can we hear some of his music, please?
OO-hoo! "You're listening to the Sony Award-wining PM".
Eric: GRINNNNNN
