Pardon? PARDON???
Yesterday it was the smells, today it's the bells ....... Sounds like a case for Health and Safety to me, Eddie!
Wouldn't it be better for you if you weren't exempt?
You could then all be outside enjoying the sunshine with the others, rather than having your ears subjected to the racket.
Perhaps you should start a campaign....
Fire drill? We haven't even got an extinguisher in the office! (Maybe H & S on the other thread could pop by....)
who is the 'we' in exempt? the whole building? or just R4? or just PM? I don;t think it's a good idea, unless you all take turns at it. I mean, what would happen in areal fire? half of you wouldn't know where to go.
...a couple of days ago, the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ DG was reported as seeking massive staff cuts to achieve a budget balance.
Today you indicate that PM staff are excused what may, or may not, in the event, be a fire-drill...
Mmmmm... well, I guess I'd better say goodbye to you all now. Oh, and thank you... for everything.
Clearly, greater love hath no group of reporters and news staff, than to lay down their salaries for their friends... (Jeremy Thorpe's input (naughty!) is duly acknowledged)
witchiwoman - What now? A new cooker? - would Jamie Oliver do?
H & S - I'm more than grateful for the previous...appliances and wouldn't dare ask for more! (especially not Mr Oliver, his tongue is way too big for his mouth).
I'm afraid I'm very worried -- why are you exempt from the fire drill? Who desires your ignorance of action in case of fire? This is not good.
To be honest, I worry that you are exempt from a fire alarm - but then I suppose as you are the best thing on R4 at 5pm, then we simply must continue to wring our hands and hope that the diamond that you throw up in our daily desert continues....
Or failing that, we could just watch News 24....but then they might not be exempt and it would be the test card...still at least it's not the 2012 logo.....
