Oh just re-read your post Eddie -

Perhaps it was the graveyard I saw this morning, and not her garden - only caught a little of the programme.

That reminds me of a Bob Monkhouse gag:

People always say to me: "You're a comedian, tell us a joke." They don't say: "You're an MP, tell us a lie."

    RIP Bob.

From the clips I've seen, it's a brilliant way to get men to take the condition seriously, without setting off their 'stubborn-muscle'.

And how wonderful that Bob's family is fully behind the campaign.

Delighted to see the need for prostate cancer screening getting publicity, but some GPs are unwilling to offer the PSA test unless the patient is showing symptoms, in which case it may be too late. Like Bob, I had no symptoms, but my GP had agreed for me to have regular PSA tests as a routine and it was only when the PSA level started to rise that we became suspicious that something was wrong. In fact I had an agressive form of the disease, but fortunately it had not yet spread. So I urge all men over 50 to pester their GPs for this simple test. A high PSA does not necessarily mean you have cancer, but is an indicator that further investigation is needed. Act now before it is too late.

...an excellent interview with a lovely Lady on an important subject - the lightness of touch and humour will contribute greatly, as will the TV ad. to establishing the importance of the underlying message.

Oh yes, nearly forgot... Jackie can cook for me any time. Any time at all...
