Hiipy Burpday from me too, MadM!
What does it say ??
Happy birthday Mary :-)
Happy Birthday to you Mary,
and yes, what does it say. I can make out wood and something like 94g at the bottom.
However it looks very wintry and fits perfectly in the advent calendar.
Next year - when we have the new blog - perhaps Eddie can have an advent calendar similar to the one on the Today website.
Jonnie, If you are comparing web site advent offerings, then how about the Cbeebies one. You get to do a different activity every day. The game on 2nd december is particularly good fun
btw, happy birthday MM
Happy birthday MM!
Were this the Beach, I would offer you a sand-filled cake.
But it's not.
So I won't.
That looks very like Apache's grave up by Keltie Bridge - it's not is it??
Happy Birthday MM, by the way...
Happy birthday Mary. Good to know you are still here!
* proffers slice of cake *
I received a belated birthday card myself today; does that make us twins?
Fifi ;o)
Happy Birthday Mary

To your enemy, forgiveness
To an opponent, tolerance
To a friend, your heart
To a customer, service
To all, charity
To every child, a good example
To yourself, respect

And Mary, have a great day...
Many happy returns, Mary.
Jonnie @ 04
Thanks for pointing-out the Today progs Advent Calendar
Great stuff! Which I'd overlooked, and you're right Jonnie, can't have PM or indeed iPM lagging behind in this regard...
Happy Birthday, Mary, and many of them.
A.
xx
Thanks for the Birthday wishes! I was soooo hoping that my picture would be up today and couldn't bear to look first thing.
I've had the day off work, been for a walk in "Joy's Wood Moseley Bog" which is what the sign says in the picture.
I took it on my mobile phone when we had snow earlier this year especially for this year's Advent Calendar.
I've been to the hairdressers to make myself a little more presentable and have bought some loveley treats for my tea including half bottle of champers.
I might leave some of the smoked haddock and cream cheese pate we're having for starters over on the beach for you all. Later we will be having a chicken casserole with little pots carrots and beans, followed by chocolate banoffee pie (shop bought) and stilon and walnuts with port wine.
I'm not going out as hubbie is working late, so we're going to have a nice meal (as above) and maybe my West Side Story DVD wat he got me.
And Fifi I'm hear quite a lot lurking.
Thanks again folks.
Mary
And best birthday wishes and seasonal greetings from me as well, Mary.

Re; Stewart an the cbeebies advent calendar.
Stewart - Fling the fish!!
Is that what we should really be teaching children to do? ;-)
The news about fining the policemen who controls speeding policies prompted me to write and say the following:
After 10 years in power and the introduction of over 3000 laws, the labour politicians, the buraucrats and the law enforcers are now also falling fowl of the laws they introduced. Soon they may understand why so many of us in the the business community feels so oppressed with all the unreasonable regulations reagarding employment, health and safety, paperwork and taxation rules.
The Inland Revenue loosing data, the labour party disregarding donation rules, the police chief speeding are all examples of either over-regulation effecting them and/or one rule for the rullers and another for the rest of us. The obvious solution is to reduce the rules. Otherwise the emporer will remain undressed.

As long as they don't fling the frog, jonnie...
Happy happies and a yummy evening, MM. It's my mother's b'day today, too, so obviously a good day to be born.
Well, on current evidence, anyway.
Happy Birthday MM!!
Lovely snowy scene - and how organised taking a photo in advance for the advent calendar!!
MJ I totally agree both as a lawyer and an employer.
Thanks GM and Frances O.
I'm not really that organised GM but as soon as I saw the snow I had to take a piccie for the blog.
Mary
PS Eddie has made my day!
Happy Birthday Mary - great to have you here again!
Are you from the ‘twelve-five’ school, Eddie? Why not the fifth OF December?
