Yesterday, a shocked nation learned the full extent of the shambles that exists at the most important desk on the planet. There are photos here, but I warn you they are shocking. Do not look at them if you are driving, operating heavy machinery, or if you're one of those twits with Ofcom on speed dial.

Thankfully, help is already coming in, as I knew it would from our kind-hearted listeners.

"I'm sorry to see the pictures of the desk. I have just posted Eddie two bits of material from a washed gym shirt. The colour appears to be an excellent match. There are also 8 little Velcro sticky bits to aid holding the material in place. It should be with you at G601 tomorrow, Hope that is of help."
