Name that worm
...at the ..
Nigel Wrench writes: "Thought you might be able to name what sort of worms these are.
They're at the Chelsea Flower Show, at the Eden Project's Places of Change garden, awarded a silver medal this morning by the Royal Horticultural Society, after an appearance on PM yesterday.
In the singlet is Paul Pulford, "Scruffy" to friends, garden co-designer, who credits horticulture with getting him off heroin and off the streets. He relished showing off the worms, at Chelsea to underline this show garden's biodiversity and wildlife. Next to him, Howard Jones, the Eden Project's director of human networks, was game, but a little less enthusiastic.
There's Mr Jones to the right walking off after the snaps were taken, Mr Pulford remained in the bodger's hut he and his team created. No news yet on whether the Queen has taken up his offer, made on last night's PM, to create a wildflower garden at Buckingham Palace.
Oh, and here's Dibley's Streptocarpus 'Harlequin Blue', just named as the first Chelsea Plant of the Year."
