If you thought Google maps was bad...

Treble T | 01:58 UK time, Friday, 26 February 2010

I just clocked this vid of a demonstration of the next generation of mapping. Now I thought it looked kinda heavy and means you could get a guided tour of anywhere in the world without going there. Kinda heavy right but then what about a bit of privacy? Is there no where in the world you can go for a bit of peace n quiet? What about criminals planning to burgle your house? Or having an extra marital affair? This stuff is probably gonna end up on your iphone real soon. Where you gonna hide? Hmm? What's your thoughts? Leave a comment and get involved.

Check out the video here - Still SICK though.

HOW HEAVY IS HEAVY RAIN?

Now this is one of the strangest games I've ever played. Trying to find a word that sums up is a struggle. (Not like you to be at a loss for words - Producer Woman). So I'll give you a little breakdown of this adventure/rpg title from Sony.

Firstly you have to approach this game like a detective story book..... I know what your thinking, but hear me out. You're part of an interactive movie and play four characters in a city where young sons are mysteriously going missing, then turn up dead with an origami figure on their chests...DEEP!

Nominated in every category possible is of course but theres stiff competition from and Batman Arkham asylum which have both got multiple nominations. and tell us if anything will even come close to C.O.D. I suspect its gonna clean up!

ALIENS vs PREDATOR

Mike Anthony | 14:24 UK time, Thursday, 18 February 2010

Aliens vs Predator

I've been waiting for this game for a while since having a taste of it in 2009. The chance to play one of those cool Colonial Marines or a Predator had me fingers itching. T already had a bit of dabble last month when he went down with Ace to do some laser tagging at one of the games events. Check the info here.

Now there are 3 story stories here people:
Colonial Marine's. Now you saw them in Alien's 2 and they were heavy, but boy did those Alien's give them a beating and a half!

We're celebrating Homegrown music on 1xtra so you know we gotta do things a bit different, this week we're playing U.K artists at video games while we should really be playing music on the radio. (Great job!).

Princess Nyah came in on Monday to play Mike at Wii sports and she actually tumped him in his face at boxing (ha ha). But today passed through to play me at . Now I must admit that I started the trash talk early on air, and we'd previously reached out to defending champ , and got air. However when it came to the actual day he heard about it and even though man was on tour with , he flew down anyway! The talk was just too big and he decided he wanted a piece of the action!

Princess Nyah "Getting Her Game On"

Now when it comes to female artists and gaming there seems to be an aggressive hormonal competitive strain running through their veins! Shola Ama certainly doesn't like losing, we couldn't stop her destruction of Sarah Jane Crawford, back in October during our Gaming Week.

MAG - Can it take on the big MW2?

Mike Anthony | 10:07 UK time, Friday, 12 February 2010

OK.... has lived with me like a welcome lodger who pays more rent than he should, on time every month. Now I got a new lodger in for a while, paying slightly less rent, but does most things right!

stands for Massive Action Game, and bwoy is it massive!. Its a good game, good idea on a good system with bad promotion. Who wouldn't want to be on-line, on a huge map with 256 other gamers! Now thats what I call MULTIPLAY BOYYYYYYY! Each player customised to suite their particular needs. As you progress you can respawn via parachaute, APC (Armoured Personel Carrier) or defence turret. The more you play the more skill points and experience you get. Use these to upgrade your weapons, call in air strikes.....rise through the command structure and take control of your squad.

I'm well impressed at how well the servers cope with 256 players.....

Rampage's Top Ten Gadgets of the Decade

Mike Anthony | 11:33 UK time, Thursday, 11 February 2010

Ipod.jpg

Okay so last week we looked at our top ten games of the decade, and after much debate we posted our list. So this week's its only right we check out the best gadgets of the decade, and again after much debate we got there. However I drew the line at T wanting to put his battery operated buttocks enhancer on there. (You may jest but at least my backside is firm MIKE!!- Treble)

Now I know some of these inventions/gadgets have been around for a while but these are Rampages absolute bangers that have come to fruition in the last 10 years. So lets get cracking...

10. Flip Video Ultra (2007)
Cheap, small and easy to use. Great to have on the move and easy to edit. HD is a massive bonus too.

9. Bluetooth Earpiece (2000)
Hands free and looking like a FBI Agent, the blue tooth ear piece is a must when driving and a life saver when you're on the move.

8.USB Flash Drive (2000)
Cheap and essential for moving everything around in this digital age. Nearly everyone has one. I can even DJ a whole set off one. Fantastic.... just hate losing them!!!

7. Sony Playstion 3/Blu-ray (2006)
Why buy a Blu-ray player when this beast of a machine has all that you need. On-line, gaming, browsing and blu-ray player. Now with ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ iplayer!Woop Woop

6. XBox (2002)
This baby revolutionised on-line game play. Come on now.....microsoft!!Do you even need to ask? Stay in your house and play around the world or with friends home life has never been the same. (Build quality was the only downside, but it didn't stop crazy sales.)

5. Blackberry (2002)
The best communication device. Office and briefcase on the go. BBM for me had phone companies spinnning!

4. iPhone (2007)
Mobile media player/web browser/gaming console/GPS, 250'000 apps.....Oh and its a phone! Customise your phone to personally work for all your needs. Brilliant if not one of the best all round phone/gadget on the market.

3. Wii Remote (2006)
The massive increase and drive of the gaming industry came in the form of the Wii. More families, younger kids and women got into gaming and gone was the days of being a couch patatoe. As for the price....well, nearly every home has one.

2. Pioneer CDJ (2002)
Where would I be without one. This is the Technics 1200 turntable of the noughties. Pays the bills and is now the industrty standard in clubs. I mean.....when did you last see a DJ bring his or her records to a club - exactly!

1. iPod (2001)
Mp3 players where out before the iPod, but bwoy did Apple sexy up this part of the industry. The look and feel was bang on. Again its a product that has become standard with most people across the globe. So it has to be the number 1.

Do you agree with our list? What's your top gadgets in the last 10 years? Get involved.

Dev checks out Monster Hunter Tri

Treble T | 09:04 UK time, Wednesday, 10 February 2010

What's up peeps another game to look at thats coming out on the . Its called and it reminds me of . I went down to the science museum to have a look and saw my mate Dev from Radio 1 and ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Switch he was raving on about it and did some investigation one of the most popular console games in Japan. I personally actually wasn't that impressed but having seen Dev's report it doesn't look too bad. Here he is to give you the real deal.

Treble & Ace Of Ace and Vis Check out Aliens Vs Predator

Producer Woman | 10:06 UK time, Friday, 5 February 2010

AVPTacesalien.jpg

If you listen to them Rampage guys you'll know they're basically big big kids who love playing any games. So when they were offered the chance to not only get a chance to play the forthcoming game , but go lazer tagging as well they jumped at the chance. Well Treble T did anyway... Mike suspiciously had "other prior arrangements" so couldn't make it. Thats what he told us anyway.. .we all reckon he didn't wanna face shame of T whooping his behind. ("Errrr... I'm special Ops - nuff said". - Mike).

So as Mike was "otherwise engaged" T decided there was only one man, who could truly, match the pace and have the combat intelligence that could rank anywhere near the mighty TREBLE T. Enter ACE!!! (aka "The Black Segal").

So we all trekked down to South London to whoop some aliens, (shout out to "Gareth" the Alien!) and of course check out the game. So who was the baddest commando?, Who shamed themselves abysmally ?

Peep all the pics to see what down, and hold tight for the Treble's full review of the game when its out in a couple of weeks time. Big shouts to Ace (aka "The Black Segal"), for coming down.

Listen to what went down here.

2010 Fifa World cup South Africa

Treble T | 09:35 UK time, Tuesday, 2 February 2010

So are releasing a special edition of their football game based on the world cup with a couple of special modes. What sounds like good fun is the actual "World cup mode" where you can play in an online world cup tournament against peeps from around the world from qualification to the final.

You can even re-create the Africa cup of nations with teams like Egypt or Ghana. You also get to play in all the stadiums from South Africa to really get the international feel. Our mate Dev from Radio 1 and ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Switch, went down to London's Victoria train station to check out some people attempting to break the world record for the longest playing of Fifa 10, a bit wimpy if you ask me. Only 24 hours to make the record I do that on an average weekend. Check him out here.
