Heads and Shoulders
It was the witching hour and the late night pre-record was upon us. The backstreets of London were eerily calm as the ravages of the windy weather earlier that day, had taken their toll. Within the serene surroundings of the Radio 2 studios, voices were being digitally encoded, prepared and propelled up and down a temperamental ISDN cable which seemed to have a mind of its own.
Once such voice was the "sausage cooking, you-tube looking, cadillac booking" Mr Brand in L.A. and the other was his "slightly merrier" co-host Mr Morgan in London. It was an interesting show, we had Max Beasely handing out tips on voicing-over and Ray Darcy handing out tips on voicing-after. Undying affection was proclaimed to all UK "arms, legs, faces and eyelashes" as an announcement was made that Russell will be briefly breezing through our streets once more in a whirlwind gust.
Weather warning: Hold on to your eyelashes!
Trick Shots
Rack 'em up,
Cue ball, solids, stripes.... Stack 'em up,
Misjudging the cushions, sheets and pillows,
Cadillacs discreetly acting up,
Emus possessed,
Ray stung with a Balsamic carress,
Controlled and drole,
All aboard to join the mis-cued express,
Nominating the pocket,
ISDN dropped from its "hickory dock" socket,
But with the right amount of spin,
"Coloured eyes and skin" was forced to watch it,
Cooking up a sausage,
Flying solo with just a photo to keep true,
Check out the eyeliner and hair almost everywhere on "Me-tube".
Great show - looking forward to this Sat with Russ and Matt back together. Perhaps Rusell can help Matt with his alcoholism! LOL!
It was so good to have the boys back together again.
I,m so jealous of Rus going back to the fairer climes in a week or so.
With the clouds bieng so low in the sky here.
But as every Brit would try to anticipate, I,m sure it will cheer up.
I really hope that the Russel Brand radio show wins an award at the BAFTAS.
I think it deserves to, it is so unique in its nature.
theres nothing else like it on the radio or even on the telly.
You never know what to expect and are compelled to listen in in case a bench mark is surupticiously moved.
Changing the face of public opinion and broadcasting towards a more honest and frank aproach, its a gift I tells ya.
How the boys can always maintain their lost inhibitions.
You almost feel like a voyere at times as the guys bear their all.
BRILLIANT and I love yer.
If any comment could be quantified as the most regularly occuring as feedback I can honestly say that I believe it would be something like this;
I look forward to the show with baited breath.
The week seems so long without it.
It cheers me up and keeps me going.
What other show could say that.
It has no frills it is basic and touches a part that other shows cannot reach.
Somehow you connect with the human condition at play in every show.
