saturday live on ice
Many thanks to the thousands of you who responded to last week's query about how to shape the future of the programme. Namely Revd Patrick Okechi who chose 'Saturday Live On Ice'. So that is what we'll head towards.
I've always wanted to dress up in one of those outfits that Robin Cousins wore before they were all stolen by Nancy Dell 'ulio 'Olio 'Hulio 'Gulio. And this week we'll all be wearing bright red, wrap around, gauze infested flared pant suits whilst the show is on air.
It's a top line up this week and I look forward to hearing your thoughts about all of our items.

Please could the programme be Saturday Live on Ice without Fi Glover ? I have to switch off after ten minutes whatever the content as I can't stand her smarmy voice and painfully arch menner.
Complain about this postYour web cam clearly doesn't have the capacity to handle the mindblowing input, as it's all a greyish blur.
Can you increase your bandwidth, and provide a (sp)eye on the wall perspective a la Messrs Humphreys, Prawn Savage, and other luminaries in and around the 2Day studio?
Complain about this postPlease move towards "Saturday Lively" rather than "on Ice" which is always a derisive comment applied to anything, a bit like the "as the actress said to the bishop" variety. It'll also save headed notepaper as it's easier to add "-ly" on in a flourishing style!
Complain about this postI like the programme, don't deride it...
what was the name of the auther marion you had on you program
Complain about this postSurely the only name for Fi's programme is "Walk Tall!"
...Keep up the good work, PFS.
Complain about this postI loved the poem about Hercules the bear! It was so lovely - really inspired me to sit & write a poem about my dog Jim :-)
Complain about this postThere was an article in the Daily Telegraph (Saturday 10 February 2007) written by Gillian Reynolds on Radio 4. In common with Gillian, I am a devoted Radio 4 listener. I am also, like Gillian, (I'm not really a sad individual, honest) an Archers fan and post regularly on the Archers Message Boards. Where I disagree with Gillian is with respect to Saturday Live. She writes, "I could never abide Home Truths, even though I liked John Peel. Many of you (Radio 4 listeners) loved it. What we seem to agree on is that Fi Glover as the Home Truths replacement, Saturday Live, is ghastly." I wish not to be counted in the "we". I like the programme and (have to whisper this in case my wife over hears) I adore Fi Glover. I find her style appealing, a mixture of intelligence, and a healthy disrespect for pompous authority together with a sense of fun. Fi, don't take any notice of Gillian Reynolds. She just doesn't understand and is likely jealous of your good looks, wit and sense of fun. If you need a shoulder to lean on, let me know :-) I will keep it free for you. Just have to distract my wife with Matt Harvey. She loved his poetry and would be easily distracted by him!
In advance: Happy Valentine's Day, Fi.

Complain about this postI've always been afraid of John Humphreys as well, but he is only human after all. Thanks fi.
Complain about this postHello.
I don't often get a Saturday off work so it was a special treat to hear Saturday Live tearlier today.
I enjoyed the whole program but was particularly taken by the article about Hercules the bear. I felt like I knew him even though today was the first I knew of him. What a delight to listen to Maggie recite her life with him. Lovely soft Scottish accent too. Many times through the program I smiled and a couple of times I also cried.
Thankyou for allowing us the insight.
Best Wishes,
Dylan.
