Thought this was a bit weak by comparison to previous episodes, I must say. The Champions League bit at the end was especially woeful. Whatever the comedy in that was I've no idea!

And don't get me wrong, I've enjoyed the past episodes! This was a bit bland.

Usually cant fault the show this one was very poor though.

the problem is that arsene wenger looks too evil. its his eyes. tone him down a bit bbc.

that was as unfunny as it gets. Ecspecially at the end.

What you have to understand is the script writers only get 15 minutes to write the script due to budget cuts. The puppets are first class considering they have to get the local primary school to make them out of papier mache. And the voices are done by the head of entertainment. He's useless at voices, but there was no one else left in the office as the other were down the pub. The only reason Mick's voice is so good is that it really is Mick - he happened to be in the building down the road doing an advert for Swarfega.

Webmaker, I wasn't denying that - as I said, previous weeks ones had been excellent. I accept it's only an impression and a parody.

But this week's was just... dull. And as I said, the end bit wasn't even funny! The writers must have realised that when they wrote and performed it!

webmaker your not really the bbc are you. look at history. anyhowa the first half of this episode was ok with the bart simpson joke it was bland overall. the previous episodes have been generally good.

Wow, just another poor ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ production! Havent watched through one of these full in the last 5/6 episodes they're getting that boring! What are the script writers doing?! Pull our socks up guys!

I'm not a huge fan of this show, but you have to admit that the Mick McCarthy impression is absolutely top-drawer. :D

Going against the general trend of comments here, I thought this episode was a good one - Alex McLeish as the bloke off CSI Miami was a touch of genius! But who is Spiderman?

Very little to comment on really. Poor show overall, not much to make us laugh!

I know Jonas Gutierrez of Newcastle Utd was known to celebrate goals by pulling a Spiderman mask out and putting it on before he joined Newcastle. But he seems maybe an odd person to "interview" for the episode... still he had a latino accent.

The Ronaldo puppet needs serious work,if it is him who they are portraying.

Perhaps Spiderman = Spiderman, and not supposed to be representing a footballer, or someone from "Fathers 4 Justice", at all... Thought with the latino accent it might be Roberto Martinez - but Wigan, spiders?

Like many others, I thought this was a little weak, hoping for better next week.

I agree with others when they say the last bit seemed rushed.

It's almost as if you felt compelled to include the champions league draw because it happened yesterday and so you quickly added it on at the end. I might have missed a joke within a joke within a joke which meant it was meant to be short but I think it let the episode down.
Perhaps you should have made the entire episode about the draw *or* not included it at all. You tried to do a bit of both and it didn't really work.

Looking forward to the come-back episode next week - they've been great up to this week :p

That Spiderman guy has the same impression as Rafa right down to 'jes' instead of yes. I'm guessing it was Rafa but I don't get the joke.

Alex McLeish bit is genius, as is McCarthy's voice. The rest is terrible. A bit cutting on Wenger as well - he gets enough stick as it is give him a break.

This is just getting worse and worse, they should have Mick McCarthy as one of the puppets along side Sven and Wayne

spiderman is Rafa goes back to a christmas party episode from the setanta days when he went as spiderman, Manuel from faulty towers would be much more apt tho!!!

wenger is allright, though i do miss the voyeur days. and sven. sven was right.:))
