Dos and don'ts
A quick post to let you know that I'm attending an International Childcare Conference today and won't have much time to attend to the blog. I'll do my usual round of everyone else's blogs later, glass of wine in hand - a pleasure at the end of every day.
By the way on Wednesday evening the Standards Committee is considering the use of blog sites by Assembly Members. Committee Members are going to "consider the issue of Members publishing to blog sites and the potential for this to result in breaches of the Code of Conduct, and consider whether to issue a note to Members regarding the use of blogs".
In my absence you're welcome to suggest your own note to Members on their use of blogs. Go on: help the committee out with some dos and don'ts.

Do: Allow AMs the freedom to inform debate and comment incisively on current affairs. Bethan Jenkins' blog is a particularly good example.
Don't: Allow Huw Lewis within 500 metres of a computer as his inane, vapid and narcissistic chatter will inevitably lead to an international digital meltdown.
Make sure you don't go out of your way to comment on the Nat's abuse of tax payer's money now Betsan!
Agree with jon, where's the "Ads for Votes scandal" story?
wonder if they will have to declare their blog identities.
Wonder if Johnny F is really Jane Davidson.
Blog worldmust be an issue for them then
Betsan, three Plaid members have been caught out with their expenses(!) and you don't even say a word. Reading your blog etc it's clear that your a friend of plaid, but not a word
"Where's the Plaid expenses story?" Give over. It was on Wales Today, Newyddion, Post Cyntaf, Post Prynhawn, Good Evening Wales, Good Morning Wales, News Online, Cymru a'r Byd ... etc Given I was robustly warned by Plaid when the story was first broken before the Assembly Election (by ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Wales incidentally) that I should make sure it was read very, very carefully by the lawyers, I was quite content to see it at the top of our running orders pretty much all day. I had little to add to their great embarassment in my blog, that's all.
