Impending Menace
I'm jumping into the Mastermind Cymru chair this Sunday evening on S4C. One brave contender faced this question, had a stab at it but got it wrong.
Q: A decision by magistrates in Llandudno in 2003 NOT to ban WHO from driving, after his fourth speeding offence, prompted Private Eye to ask, 鈥淚s Plaid Cymru a political party or a racing team?鈥
A: ?

Is there a prize? Was it Dafydd Iwan?
Mr Dafydd "Will be in the UK Charts on Sunday" Iwan
Dafydd Iwan?
Is it Dafydd Iwan? I'm sure that P.E. also mentioned Elfyn Llwyd (allegedly) getting a ticket for speeding, hence the reference to the racing team. I hear Alonso's looking for a new team, and with an election on the horizon....
Elfyn Llwyd?
That has to be Dafydd Iwan - in his BRG?
A: Dafydd Iwan
Elfyn Llwyd ?
No prizes but anyone who said Dafydd Iwan might fancy their chances in the Mastermind chair. The contender went for the other Dafydd - Wigley - who, I'm sure, would never be tempted to put his foot down ... in the car anyway.
Talking about David Iwan...have you heard about/seen the facebook group called "Get Dafydd Iwan in the charts for Ray Gravell"? The aim is for the song to get into the top 40. Dafydd Iwan will donate the profits to the Ray Gravell memorial fund. Last time I checked the song was at 59. I guess that's what another post was referring to. I've bought my copy of the song off itunes.
Does it really matter who it was?
speeders have many ways of being dealt with via fines bans ,higher insurance due to their record,
Why do residents who have not broken any laws ,have to suffer, the noise and illaffects of poorly thoughtout schemes such as road humps. when a set of lights with a camera attached ,would work better against the one who has broken the law not innocent people.
