So say locals on some of the region's housing estates which were once deemed problem areas and are still finding it hard to shrug off the image.

Tracy, among others, has been in touch to defend Caia Park which was renamed from Queen's Park as part of its makeover: "Queen's Park is a large place, so there will be more bad pennies but there are a lot of good people too." And Matthew adds: "Queen's Park is what you make of it, you take the good with the bad."

Over in Plas Madoc, Tini suggests: "Plas Madoc has made a name for itself now but people won't change their perspective on it unless they live here! It's cleaned up a lot now and looks a lot better."

In Flint, there is support for the all-girl Flint Youth Forum who are trying to shake off the bad name once given to the Maes Gwyn estate. Georgette writes: "Yes, Maes Gwyn did get a bad name, but hopefully these girls can turn things around and get it to the way it used to be many years ago. Good luck."
