It took local councillor and NT member - to explain how the votes were broken down.
And then after digesting the data, today's Daily Post writes ", endorsed by the .
There have been some strong exchanges on our site about the development plans.
Contributor 'Sue from Wrexham' was the first to respond after Saturday's vote:
"Just wanted to say that, personally, I am pleased that the plans for new homes in Rhostyllen have got the green light from the National Trust - despite the negative protestors doing their best to get it scrapped. We are talking about a couple of fields here - that's all.
"There are more important things than somewhere handy for lazy people to walk their dogs (and not have to clean up the mess). A housing association is involved in this project - so there will be affordable homes. The National Trust will ensure that the new part of the village offers a pleasant environment for residents. I believe that Rhostyllen will be greatly enhanced by this development and I can't see why people are against it."
