But the more interesting findings are in some of the detailed figures of the sources people of different ages use. What emerges is a picture of a younger generation who are turning to the internet and alternative news sources to create their image of the world. I've written on this issue.

For those of us working in the online world, this is something we have seen happening for a while. One of the difficulties today for news readers is how much information is out there to attempt to digest.

Stories which are covered in Asia, may never make it to the top of the news cycle in North America.

North American stories may not be reported in Europe.

Some media understand that the Internet is a powerful tool to increase their exposure and breadth of coverage.

Some fear it and are trying to restrict coverage or access.

There is a careful need for balance online with the number of ads and especially pop ups.

However, as each new medium has appeared there have been people who have feared for their particular area.

Expanded global communications will lead to far more peace and openness.

We should be embracing truth and examining media at all levels for accuracy in reporting.
