Texts: AIDs and Discrimination in Africa
Often we receive so many text message comments from Africa we don't get a change to reach many of them out. But we can post them here to give you a flavour of what people are saying.
Chishamba sent us this message:
This programme is an eye opener i did not know this discrimination was this bad
Bob Kallon,Bo, Sierra Leone sent us this text message:
I am positive and live in Bo, in Sierra Leone. My greatest problem is with the caregivers.
Elton, Liberia asked us this question:
Can you conduct a survey of your guests on how they got aids?
Unfortunately, Elton, we got the text message too late to take a survey of our guests.
Julia from Jos in Nigeria sent us this text:
I have heard pastors preach that HIV is the wrath of God. It's such a shame that so called men of God can be so ignorant.
Namadina sent us this brief text:
The Murdereder of the aids boy should face the law.
And Benjamin sent us this message:
People with AIDs need care and love. Therefore is no any reasion to discrimination against HIV people.
Thanks for all of those text messages. We may not always get to read all of them out on air, and when we really touch a nerve in Africa, we can't even put them all here. But we'll do our best to give you a chance to have your say.
