Thursday morning meeting...

| 11:32 UK time, Thursday, 21 December 2006

Morning all, we've just finished the morning meeting, seems my typing isn't fast enough to keep up during the meeting (how do you do it Ros and Rabs??!). I think it's because my hands are too cold. Anyway, here's what we discussed:

From Paul's morning blog post, what rights does a minor have to decide their own fate? A terribly sad story, we would really love to talk to the mother, and daughter if possible...

We're hoping to talk about this on tomorrow's programme, let's see how Paul gets on.

Madeline is presenting today, she thinks it's time we took a look at the situation in Somalia. I've been pushing for it all week, and Rabs thinks today is the day. Hasit and Cathy talk about the effect on neighbouring Kenya and Eritrea.

Shane Warne officially retires from international cricket today. Is he the greatest player ever? Hasit is a big cricket fan and would like to hear from people arguing this point from all around the world. In a strange twist, Aussie Madeline doesn't think we should ask if he is the greatest but we all disagree! So that's in.

Karnie and I both like this story about . It seems the Japanese are too polite to deal with the city. There are fears it could turn into an anti-French rant. Madeline thinks we could open it up to talk about places you've been to and been disappointed by. Cathy thinks we should ask someone from the Paris tourist board to defend their city. I'm going to look into it, but if you have any thoughts, post a comment.....

I better get started, back later!
