Faltown Skateboarders | Alex and Chris set up Faltown Skateboards to make and sell their own skateboards and accessories. Faltown are not only now breaking new bounds in the sport, they are also developing new products to take the sliding further. Among them are new sliding gloves and a new hard-compound wheel to go alongside their clothing range. |
The DVD shows the emerging phenomenon of slide skateboarding in Cornwall.Ìý Produced by Patrick Biddulph and Directed by Andrew Nauma. Founders of Faltown Skateboards, Alex Brinnen and Chris Humphries are regularly seen tearing down the hills of Falmouth and surrounding Cornwall. Using specially designed gloves and boards, Alex and Chris feature along with two other members of the Faltown Skateboards team Tom Clough and Mark Short, performing their unique slide skating on some of the world-renowned downhill runs. The film also features skateboard legend Cliff Coleman, the original creator of slide-skating back in the 1960's.
The Falmouth slide skaters have developed new moves that have never been seen before this or the other side of the Atlantic.
