Faye has been musing about being a new mum. It's been really, really hard work bringing up a child predominantly on her own in Cornwall away from family. But the rewards are great - Lilou is phenomenal.

She had a really hard birth, being in labour for three days. She thought that being a new mum she would embrace it whole-heartedly and attempted to, but saw it more as a problem to solve.

It's been really important to Faye to continue with her studies doing a part time BA at Falmouth Art College to keep a bit of her as an artist and also embrace her new identity as a mum.

Having kids is relentless and she has only just started enjoying it. Things in life that are hard work are ultimately the most worthwhile. Hat's off to all parents out there!
