Since arriving in Morogoro Jan and David have been on a two week course to learn Kiswahili the local language.听

They have also been settling in to there new life in by learning to cook Tanzanian style on an open fire and have now moved into their house after spending many weeks in a hotel room.

The couple have been swept into school life almost immediately and found themselves visiting their trainee teachers in schools in neighbouring villages.

The differences they found compared to schools in the UK is enormous. This, Jan says, will makes for a challenging time in preparing the local teachers with the skills they need to do the job with the little facilities they have.
