Par Bay in their gig Warrior have won their first men's title in many years beating Caradon's Millers daughter over the line in the closing race of the World Pilot Gig Championships.

Roseland's women's team in gig Polvarth battled their way into first place to become Woman's champions of the 2009 Championships they were followed by Falmouth Ladies who were hoping to retain their 2008 title.
