A snappy, traditional side-scrolling platform game, Wrath of the Darkhul King puts you in control of Buffy as she battles her way through the vampire hordes of Sunnydale, and faces the Gentlemen.
There are sixteen levels, including Sunnydale, a spooky crypt, the dinosaur-filled museum and evil-infested woods. All teem with vamps, demons and other nasties, though you meet up with your Scooby gang mates too. As this is set in season four, characters popping up include Xander, Willow and Riley.
For the most part, you fight your way through the game, using a range of kicks, punches and combos to batter your foes to the ground before giving them a good hard staking. As in the show, Buffy's pretty hot at bare-knuckle combat, but she can also pick up weapons like stakes, axes, holy water and even the electrifying Glove of Myhnegon (from Revelations, remember?)
Buffy's got brains as well as beauty, so it's no surprise to find a few puzzles in the game. They're not exactly fiendish, but they'll get you thinking a little bit.
Between them and the bosses you'll have to beat, Wrath of the Darkhul King will keep you diverted, but be warned, it's not the longest game out there. Buffy's just too strong to take much time beating a bunch of vamps.
