Grandstand first came to our screens back in 1958. There was sport before 1958 but you had to listen to it on the wireless or actually go and watch it! Grandstand's presenters have included Frank Bough, Helen Rollason, David Coleman and Des Lynham. Famous Grandstand moments include the cancellation of the Grand National and the moment when a fight broke out during live transmission in the 'sports update room' behind Des Lynham.
