Nisha says there are two main influences on her life - a Western one which is reflected in her everyday clothes and her language and an Eastern one which she keeps in touch with through her dancing.

Kathak dancing is practised widely throughout Asia and Nisha says she loves the tradition of it, the heavy make-up, the colourful costumes and the ornate jewellery.

She says dance isn't just about movement - it's a universal language which can be learned and understood by people whatever their colour or culture.听听听听听听听听
