Do One Thing (or two) - to help us out!

Why don't you join us at the transformed nature reserve on Sinfin Moor Lane by Sinfin Moor park on Saturday, 3rd May?

There's a free family fun day from 11am till 3pm and, among other things, there'll be a scavenger hunt, kite and badge making, face painting, hay to help rake in the meadow, wild flowers to plant and some for you to take home!

Why not bring a picnic with you too?

Ed George will be doing his Saturday show there from 12 till 2 as well!

The reserve has a new sign

You can join us at the transformed nature reserve on Sunday 4th May for a free guided walk to hear the dawn chorus round the site. The group will meet at Sinfin Moor Park car park on Sinfin Moor Lane at 4.30am.

A free breakfast will be available at 7am, but you must book that in advance on Derby 255021 or via email: wildderby@derby.gov.uk

We hope to see you at the site during the week or listening in to the progress on 成人论坛 Radio Derby!

The transformation is underway

Work has begun on clearing up and transforming the Sinfin Moor Nature Reserve.

Our Springwatch make-over began on Monday 28th April and continues until Saturday 3rd May.

The site has long been a target of fly-tippers and has therefore not been an inviting place for local residents and their families to visit.

Jon Eccarius, from the Friends of Sinfin Group, decided enough was enough and that the community should take a stand and reclaim their green space.

Work is well underway at the reserve

So with the help of WildDerby and 成人论坛 Radio Derby, the troops have been rallied and have descended on Sinfin.

The activities that are taking place during Wild Week are varied so there is an activity level to fit everyone. Take a look at the programme here:

Directions to Sinfin Moor nature reserve:

By car or foot:

Turn onto Sinfin Lane off the A5111 ring road by the Showcase cinema and follow it down into Sinfin. Straight on at the roundabout (junction with Grampian Way and Lynwood road), then bear left on Sinfin Moor lane (dead end).

There is limited parking just on the left in the Sinfin Moor park community centre car park. The nature reserve is approx.150 metres further down on the right.
There is no car parking on the lane or at the nature reserve. If you have Sat Nav the postcode is DE24 9HN.

Public Transport:

Bus services 37 and 38 run regularly on Saturdays from Derby city centre (stands L3 and L4 on the Morledge, near to the crown court) to Sinfin Moor.

The journey takes approximately 30 minutes to the Deepdale Lane end of Sinfin.
