If you were jailed in this cell you most likely owed money to someone important.  This is where prisoners would have spent their long days - with only each other for company!  This is the main corridor that runs the length of Derby Gaol.  This wasn't where cordon-bleu cookery was prepared for prisoners - this is rather more modern!
