Send us your best Derbyshire weather photos to add to our gallery of fabulous sunsets, morning mists, striking lightning and colourful rainbows.

If you're a budding photographer, here is your chance to show off your skills by sending us your pictures (taken this year only please) of the weather or nature in Derbyshire.

We're putting together a selection of pictures of Derbyshire through the months to display on this website. It features weather and landscape pictures by Derbyshire photographers. The pictures might even end up on Derby's Big Screen!

So, we're looking for pictures which show how the different seasons and weather conditions change how the area looks.

Remember, our weather gallery only features pictures taken in Derbyshire this year.

It doesn't have to be a photo - perhaps you have a painting or drawing that you think will fit the bill. We'd even like to hear from you if you have some dramatic Derbyshire weather video!

And it's easy to do, too. Simply e-mail your pictures to us at: derby@bbc.co.uk and be sure to include:

• Your name
• The area you live in, and
• Where and when the picture was taken.
