Do I need any special software to use the audio and video?

All video and audio on this site is in RealMedia format. So, to listen or watch, you need to have RealPlayer installed on your computer.

If you don't have RealPlayer, it's easy to install and only takes a few minutes. You can download it and use it free of charge using the link on the right.

Eventually, we hope to be able to provide audio and video in both RealMedia and Windows Media formats.

Do I have to have a broadband connection?

You can access audio and video using either a telephone modem or a broadband connection.

However, people using a broadband connection will find video and audio are smoother and clearer.

OK - so how do I listen to 成人论坛 Radio Derby?

Simply click on the "成人论坛 Radio Derby Listen Live" link on the right of many of the pages on this site.

This will cause a new window to open and will automatically start playing 成人论坛 Radio Derby's FM output to you.

Most of our programmes are available for you using the "Listen Again" feature in the 成人论坛 iPlayer. Simply click 'Listen Again' on the right and choose the programme you want to hear from the list.

Some of those programmes are available for a whole week, others for 24 hours and there are some programmes which we can't make available at all due to limited server space.

Can I hear football commentary?

Derby County and Chesterfield commentaries are NOT normally available either live or recorded as we do not have the rights to broadcast them via the internet. For a fuller explanation, please use the link on the right.

However, we make all our Rams match interviews and reports available via our sport section. Some Chesterfield reports are also available.

Burton Albion commentaries are available to listen to live online.

And cricket?

We aim to bring you commentary on every ball of every game for Derbyshire's one-day matches. Use the link on the right for more details.

How do I watch your video content?

Click on the appropriate video link. Our system will then detect whether you have a broadband or narrowband connection and display the video for you at the appropriate speed. The video will be displayed in a new window.

If you want to change your settings or choose a different speed (bit rate) click the "settings" link within the video window.

As well as some exclusive video features, you can also watch the most recent edition of 成人论坛 East Midlands Today and the latest weather forecast. In addition, some of the individual reports from the most recent programme are available for you to watch at your leisure.

My video and audio does not play smoothly

There are many reasons why this might occur.

Your bandwidth may be being used by another application (or another computer, if your connection is via a home/office network). Your viewing experience will be affected if our servers are unable to deliver data to your computer quickly enough because of network congestion on your connection.

Downloading large files or using peer-to-peer applications while watching video, for example, may prevent you from being able to receive enough data to maintain a constant video stream.

If you do not believe your connection is being used by other applications or other people, check your media player has the correct bandwidth settings.
