Q: What's the history of the band?
A: The band as it is now have been playing for about two years, we all met at Holsworthy Community College.

Q: How did your name come about?
A: The band's name is Aquaplane, this came about unexpectedly one night as we needed a name before we went on stage for a gig!

Q: Who's in the band?
A: John Hiscock is vocals and bass, Rob Potten plays drums and Tom Merritt and Dave Parker play guitar and provide backing vocals.

Q: What three words describe your music?
A: Catchy, melodic and diverse.

Q: What's the track you've chosen to demo?
A: The name of the track is Happy Memories, it's about remembering the good times when you're low.

Q: What do you think of the current music scene?
A: It could be better, there are some great bands around. The problem is some of them don't seem to be pushing themselves as much as they could.

Q: What's been your most memorable gig so far?
A: It was a Cancer Research charity gig we played in Holsworthy. Aquaplane headlined the event with fireworks going off behind the stage.

Q: Whose records do you have in your collection and who influenced you?
A: We've got Muse, Led Zepplin, Queen, The Killers, The Libertines and Razorlight. Our influences were Brian May and Jimmy Page and we'd love to play with Muse.

A: Brian May, he is the perfect guitarist, Matt Bellamy of Muse who are a great band and Winston Churchill, so we could find out what he'd be making of Britain today.

A: ...Tom's dad wants him to buy him a farm.

Q: Whereabouts in Devon are you based?
A: We're based in Holsworthy in North Devon, it's a beautiful place to live with no lows really.

Q: In your own words, sell yourself...
A: We love playing live, it's what bands are all about, it's just brilliant.
