The birth of a rare black rhino at Paignton Zoo has really captured the imagination of animal-lovers all over the world. Thousands of people watched as Sita gave birth to a female calf on Monday 5 March. The amazing scenes were captured on webcam and shown on the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Devon website. Sita watchers had been logging on for weeks, anxious to catch the big moment.

Youngsters in particular have been enchanted by Sita, and now by her calf. We've been holding a competition for children up to and including the age of 12. The challenge was to draw a picture of Sita and her calf. The deadline for entries passedÌý 23 March 2007 so it's now too late to send in your drawing.

One of the Paignton Zoo team will choose the best drawing, and the young artist will win a digital camera from the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Devon website. So take a look at the photos and video footage and get drawing! All will be placed in a gallery on ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Devon.
