Dame Evelyn Glennie, percussionist extraordinaire, takes to the stage for the world premiere of Dani Howard鈥檚 new Percussion Concerto, before we celebrate Poulenc鈥檚 vocal masterpiece 60 years after his death. Written in response to the death of his close friend, the artist Christian B茅rard, the Stabat Mater embraces both light and dark 鈥� a true representation of his devout Catholicism, yet witty and effervescent personality.
