The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra makes its first London appearance with young Lithuanian Mirga Gra啪inyt臈-Tyla, who becomes the orchestra鈥檚 Music Director next season.

While Mozart鈥檚 overture combines infectious energy with Masonic symbolism, Tchaikovsky鈥檚 dramatic Fourth Symphony explores the shadow cast by Fate.

Hans Abrahamsen鈥檚 Grawemeyer Award-winning song-cycle for Barbara Hannigan centres on Shakespeare鈥檚 Ophelia, using only words allotted to her in Hamlet.
