The 成人论坛 Philharmonic opens Stoke-on-Trent Festival's orchestral concert season at Victoria Hall this year with a transporting programme of music.

The rousing and recognisable overture to Glinka's opera Ruslan and Lyudmila kicks off our programme tonight, before soloist Alina Pogostkina lends her skilful virtuosity to Brahms's violin concerto.

To finish, Elgar introduces us to Nimrod, Dorabella and all the other 鈥榝riends pictured within鈥� his hugely popular Enigma Variations.
