Shrubs have a woody branches but no trunk. Even so, some shrubs will grow to a substantial size. Sometimes it gets a tad difficult to distinguish shrubs and trees!

 Description:
There are many different types of this medium sized shrub, most of which have thorny stems. Primarily grown for the profusion of flowers, some roses also produce clusters of red ‘hips’ (seed pods) in autumn.

Deciduous shrubs grown for their showy, funnel shaped flowers. Prefer a position in full sun and fertile soil. To ensure it flowers well every year, prune some of the older branches to the ground after flowering.
