Worcester's streets will be filled with light and colour during the traditional Victorian Street Fayre. Santa Claus... or Father Christmas if you prefer... will be on hand to put a smile on children's faces. This year, you can experience the delights of a new food and drink area, and treat yourself to seasonal delicacies, savouring local produce including wines, cheeses, pies and preserves. There's also street entertainment including singing chimney sweeps, gravediggers, stiltwalkers, organ grinders and Punch and Judy, as well as traditional funfair rides. Altogether there are more than 100 stalls in the market. Look to see if you can spot the winners of this year's 'Best Stall' competition, judged for the stalls overall display and Victorian costume worn by the stallholder. This prestigious Victorian themed street market is open this year on the following days: - Thursday 25th November

During the Christmas Fayre, shops will be open until 9pm on Thursday 25th November, and until 5.30pm on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th. On Sunday 28th, most shops will be open until 4.30pm. The fayre runs until the 1st of December. And a date for your diary! The 2005 Chrismas Fayre will be held from Thursday 24th to Sunday 27th November.
