Take a look around the charts, and you'll see a common thread – there are loads of bands from the last two or three decades enjoying a revival and even recording new music again.

But few would have predicted the renaissance currently being enjoyed by Scottish duo, The Proclaimers. Craig and Charlie Reid are back with a bang, thanks to Peter Kay and the boys from Little Britain, after their legendary single "500 Miles (I'm Gonna Be)" hit number one earlier this year.

Now The Proclaimers are experiencing a huge upturn in their fortunes, with a new album - "Life With You" and a massive UK tour that brought them to Hull City Hall on Thursday October 4th.

After the sound-check, Craig and Charlie visited ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Radio Humberside's studios to reflect on the highs and lows of their career with Evening Show presenter, James Hoggarth.

It turns out that the boys have a massive love for Hull, as the city played a major part in their early successes. In 1986, while trying to find their first big break, The Proclaimers toured with The Housemartins, and even stayed with them at flat somewhere on Beverley Road. Twenty-years on, they can still remember games of pool and drinking at the legendary Adelphi Club on De Grey Street.
